16 Aug 2019

The Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch has welcomed the landmark, momentous and unprecedented move by the Government to revoke Article 370 and bifurcate the State and converting the state of J&K into Union Territory. This is a historical moment to rejoice for all Indians in general and Kashmiri Pandits in particular. JKVM thanks Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Honourable Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah for this extraordinary courage and vision.
According to JKVM, This is a befitting tribute to all the nationalist forces who strived through seven decades to achieve one India. Nationalist leaders from Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherji to Sh. Tika Lal Taploo and several other activists and leaders who attained Martyrdom in this struggle of complete integration of J&K with India. Thousands of security personnel fought valiantly and laid down their lives for one nation, one flag, and one constitution for the country.
The New Kashmir will create, develop, and progress to restore the lost grandeur of Kashmir, ’The Paradise”.
The anarchist rules and acts like permanent resident certificate, Art 370, Art 35 A etc will make way for progressive one vibrant India. Erosion of the rights of the minorities, denial of reservation to the reserved class will soon be the things of the past.
With the integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India, Kashmiri Pandits will share the additional responsibility to lead the future of Jammu and Kashmir to the path of progress. The Manch has appealed Kashmiri Muslim community members to accept these landmark decisions with a positive mindset.
